One thing that makes me insecure about my writing is not winning writing competitions.

I know rejection is part of the writing game, but I want everyone to love what I write as much as I do. Ha! It doesn’t bog me down or keep me up at night, and I honestly feel like it indicates that I need to submit more!

But I’m revising a novel that I plan to pitch to a publisher, so I’m not writing any significant works to submit. So, for now, I’m content doing this 31-day writing challenge and submitting monthly articles to my local city magazine.
