What do you see in this picture? Maybe just a simple flower. To me, it’s much more. It represents a special woman who’s no longer with us.

This is a bearded iris. It was sent to me by my mother-in-law, and she got it from her mother-in-law.

This simple flower fills my heart with love for the women who’ve gone before me, and I love this time of year when the bearded irises bloom.
