May 10, 2022 | Day 10: Sunshine

Sunshine. This word evokes instant happiness in me. It brings to mind blue skies, warm temps, and flowers and trees in bloom. I live in the Pacific Northwest and sunny days are not as common here as in other places. Sunshine invites people outside to walk their dogs, ride their bikes, and chat with friends. And when the sun sets, our neighbors set up their firepit and invite us to sit beside it to warm our bodies and make S’mores. The sun is blanketed in clouds this morning, but I know it’s there. The birds are singing, the air is fresh, and when the sunshine breaks through, oh, what a glorious day!
