May 24, 2022 | Day 24: The Scene Outside My Window

The scene outside my window is GREEN! Although it’s a gloomy day, weather-wise, the first thing I see is the locust tree branch that hangs precariously close to my window. Its leaves are bright yellow-green, and they spread outward like fingers on an open hand. Beyond that, I see the golden buttercups that dot the hillside and the green rose hedge that has yet to bloom. I hear the afternoon traffic as it speeds past my house and the robins and other songbirds as they sing and chatter to each other. It’s an ordinary day with a grey sky full of clouds, but when I look outside my window, all I see is green.
