Earlier this month, I traveled with my family to Colorado to see extended family, including my in-laws, my sister-in-law and her family, and my brothers and their families. We’d scheduled our trip around my nephew’s high school graduation. About a week before, I’d texted my brother to find out the flow of events during our stay. I came to find out that our flight to Colorado Springs was scheduled to arrive after my nephew’s graduation! I was furious because, looking back, I’d written the graduation date down wrong. Fortunately, my husband was able to contact the airline before we left Seattle. He changed our flight by one day, and we didn’t even have any service fees! Through his planning ahead, even with very little notice, we arrived in plenty of time to see my nephew graduate.
